Normandin 21st Century students participated in a four week collaborative
engineering project that resulted in the creation and successful completion of
an excellent Rube Goldberg Machine. Students were involved in every aspect of
this hands-on project which required a great deal of critical thinking and
problem solving skills while building this elaborate machine made of recycled
materials. This year's (2013-2014) Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
sponsored 21st Century statewide kickoff event featured a video of our Normandin
students describing and setting in motion their Rube Goldberg Machine, we were
very honored to be the only district highlighted at this event.
