Finishing Strong

Students Take Time out for a quick photo this Saturday 6/1/13 at Normandin

Our focus at Normandin has to been to set high expectations for our students and ensure we do whatever it takes to offer them the opportunities to reach these high expectations.  Students are offered the chance to come in on Saturday's to work with dedicated staff who volunteer their time, so that students may make up missed responsibilities.  This weekend 30 students were in attendance!  Thank you Ms. LaRochelle, Ms. Rodriguez and Ms. Murphy for all the time you've dedicated to our students.  Thank you to our teachers, administrators and counselors for continuing to push our students to make the right decisions on their journey to greatness.

Student Self-Reflection Highlights:

If you could do this school year over, what would you do differently?
  • ...and try my best to put my home life aside...I would present a good impression so all teachers and staff know that I have changed...I wish I had passed to the high school last year.
  • There would be a lot of things I would do differently. First off I would not be out as much as I was. I would try to be in school no matter what. Another thing I would do differently is pass in all my school work on time and study more to improve my grades. I would also try and keep myself out of the drama more....
  • I would not always miss class and be in the nurse's office all the time, 24/7...
  • I would have chosen my friends more wiser and better...
  • ...I would have tried to not be absent all of the time, and I would have tried to keep the same grades that I had from first quarter. ... stay after more often too.
  • I would have a better grade in math.
  • I would do things better. I would not get written up all the time- I would not get in fights-also stay out of the drama. Most of all get my grades up. And, I wouldn't end up in Saturday School!
  • If I could do everything differently, I would. This year I felt like a different person. I have got myself caught up in so many different things in and outside of school. If I had another opportunity I would mainly focus on my grades and behavior. I'm smarter than how I presented myself. I have goals to accomplish and it all starts now. I f I could start over, everything would be different, but you learn from your mistakes. Going further I know what is right and wrong. That's what I would do differently.
