Citizen School Mock Trial and Solar Car Sprint!

 

Mock Trial: On Thursday, May 9th, Citizen Schools students participated in a Mock Trial at the New Bedford Superior Courthouse. Students tried the case of a dog owner whose dog was sold on Craigslist in front of a real judge and a jury made up of attorneys, Normandin teachers, and other community supporters! Thank you to our dedicated teachers and administrators who turned up to support our students!



Solar Car Sprint: On Sunday, May 19th, Citizen Schools students had the opportunity to race their Solar Cars in a regional competition held at MIT in Boston. The competition judged cars in four categories: speed, craftsmanship, technical merit, and design. While our students did not take home any awards, they worked hard and represented Normandin while competing against students from 12 other schools across the state.
